QMe Prompter › Manual › Jam Mode: Keep a Band on the Same Song

Jam Mode iOS PRO

Everyone on the same song, together.

Start or join

Jam tab → Start a Jam

Start a Jam and share the 6-digit code; bandmates Join with it. Choose Solo Singer (everyone’s screen follows the one voice) or Multi Singer (each device tracks its own singer) and pick a 4- or 8-bar count-in.

Tick the songs to start with from your Library or a Setlist (each setlist has a Select All). The button says exactly what goes in, for example Start Jam with 3 songs. You can also start with none at all, Start Jam, pick songs as you go, and choose each song from your whole library once the band is in.

The screen shows the session code, who’s in, and who’s singing. If you scroll away from the singer, a Follow button snaps you back. The pedal works here too, and you can record the session, jam takes get a green JAM badge in the Takes tab. Jam keeps its own settings (font, dark mode, count-in) separate from your solo setup.

Tap the X on the jam lyrics

The X on the lyrics takes you to Jam home. It only leaves the song: the jam keeps running and everyone stays connected. Everything that runs the jam sits in the top bar:

Under the top bar, the Band row shows who is in: a crown for the host, a microphone for whoever is singing, and NEW for a minute after someone joins. A green “Sam joined the jam” banner drops in when someone arrives.

Jam home → Search your library (host)

The host can search the whole library from Jam home, not only the songs the jam started with. Tap a song and it joins the jam and every screen switches to it. A bandmate who was on Jam home is taken straight back to the lyrics. Songs already played sit under In this jam, one tap to go back to any of them. Swiping left and right on the lyrics still moves through the jam’s songs.

Everyone needs QMe 1.40 or later to see songs the host adds from search. Older versions only load the songs that were in the jam when they joined. On Jam home, a bandmate on an older version has an orange ring round their name: ask them to update from the App Store.
