Words for the room: one line at a time, big, and nothing else. For sing-alongs, church, Zoom and livestreams.
Audience View shows the line you are singing in large type, the next line dimmed underneath, and, if you want, UP NEXT with the song title between songs. No chords, no controls, no counters: just what people should sing. There are three ways to get it in front of the room.
Switch it on and QMe gives you a link, qmeprompter.com/show/ plus your code, and a QR code. Open the link on anything with a browser and it shows your words as you sing:
The link stays the same from gig to gig, so you only set up OBS or the church computer once. New link replaces it if the old one gets around.
AirPlay: open Control Center on the iPad, tap Screen Mirroring, and pick the Apple TV or Mac. Cable: plug in an HDMI or USB-C adapter. QMe shows Screen connected when it sees the screen.
Set Audience and that screen shows the words for the room while your iPad keeps your normal prompter, chords and all. With Voice Follow, the words turn green as you sing them. No internet needed. Set Performer instead and the screen shows your own lyric view with chords, for display glasses or a stage monitor.
For when you share the iPad’s own screen. While a song is open, the audience view covers your prompter. Tap the screen for Start / Stop and Back to my prompter; the buttons fade away after a few seconds. Your pedal and Voice Follow keep working underneath. If you go back to your prompter on this iPad, anyone watching this screen sees your prompter too, so for a room that should only ever see words, use option 1 or 2.
With Show song titles between songs on, a song that is open but not started shows UP NEXT and its title above the first line, and between songs the room sees the next song in the setlist. Turn it off for a plain dark screen between songs. Preview the audience view shows exactly what the room will see.
