Your band on faders, under the lyrics. Import a track or its stems, mix it, mute your part, and play.
A backing track plays inside the teleprompter while your lyrics and chords follow it. In Tools → Backing Tracks you can play, slow down, loop and mix any song's track without opening the prompter. Tracks follow your account to every iPad you sign in on, and AirPlay sends the sound to a speaker, HomePod, Apple TV or Mac.
New to QMe? One tap downloads "Lights Up", a full band on separate tracks with the words already timed to the music. It opens in the prompter with the mixer up, so you can hear everything on this page straight away. It does not use one of your free-plan songs.
When a song has stems (each instrument on its own track), every part gets its own fader with M (mute), S (solo) and pan, a live level meter, and a Master fader. Changes are heard at once and each song remembers its own mix.
In the prompter, the settings panel has two tabs, Settings and Mixer. Drag the panel up or down to see more of the board or more of the lyrics. Faders only move on a deliberate drag, so a bump on stage will not change your levels.
A song with a single track (no stems) gets one fader, so you can still set its level.
Pick your instrument once (guitar, bass, keys, drums, vocals and so on) and that stem starts muted in every song, so you play your part over the rest of the band. Tap its M to bring it back for a run-through.
Change the track's key up or down six half steps, and slow it down or speed it up for practice without changing the key. Both are saved to the song. Long-press a section on the right-hand rail to loop it while you learn the part.
Bring in a song's stems as a ZIP, a folder, or a set of audio files, from Suno, MultiTracks, Loop Community, Karaoke Version, Moises or your own session. QMe names each part from its file, and click and guide tracks start switched off. A ZIP or audio file opened in QMe from Files or the share sheet lands here too.
Paste the lyrics from Suno (section tags like [Verse] and [Chorus] are kept, notes like [End] and (ooh) are dropped), then pick the Stems ZIP or the audio files. The lead vocal starts unticked, and the song is ready to play with the mixer. See also performing Suno songs live.
Voice Follow listens through the microphone, so with the band coming out of the speakers it would hear the track instead of you. When you pick Voice with a backing track, QMe asks first: Use Auto Scroll (the lyrics follow the track, the best choice with a track) or Voice Follow without the track.
The metronome can stay in time with an Apple Music song or a backing track. Start the song, then tap the pad on every beat, starting on a 1. After 16 steady taps (about one line) the click is locked: it follows the song's own position, so it stays with it through a pause, a jump to another section, or a slowed-down track.
