Sunday's plan, straight from Planning Center to the stage
QMe Prompter is a lyrics and chords teleprompter for worship teams. Connect your church's Planning Center account once and any service plan comes in as a setlist: every song in the plan's key, chord chart and all, in order, ready by soundcheck. Nobody retypes anything.
How it works
- Open the Planning Center importerOn qmeprompter.com choose Import, then Planning Center. On the iPad, open Tools, then Planning Center.
- Connect your church accountTap Connect Planning Center. Planning Center's own sign-in page opens and you approve QMe Prompter. QMe only asks for Services, and only reads it.
- Pick a planYour upcoming plans are listed by service type. Open one and you see every song, its key, and whether it has a chord chart.
- ImportEach song is added to your library in the plan's key with its chord chart, tempo and length. A setlist named after the plan is built in the plan's order, with your headers as sets. It is on the iPad by the time you pick it up.
What comes across
- Every song in the plan, in the plan's order
- The chord chart from the arrangement, whether it is ChordPro or chords written above the lyrics
- The plan's key. A chart written in another key is transposed on the way in
- Tempo and length, so the setlist shows the running time of the service
- Your headers become sets: Pre-service, Worship, Response, whatever you call them
- Section labels from the chart, so the section strip on the teleprompter works from the first Sunday
What does not
- Attached files. A PDF or image attached to a song is not read. The chart has to be in Planning Center's Lyrics & Chords.
- Non-song items. Announcements, the sermon and media items are skipped. Headers are kept as set names.
- Team assignments and times. QMe brings the music, not the schedule.
Change the plan on Thursday? Import it again. The setlist updates in place, and songs already imported from the same arrangement in the same key are reused, so nothing doubles up.
Why a teleprompter for worship
- The words follow your voice. Sing, and the lyrics scroll with you. Stop to speak, and they wait. No foot pedal, no glancing down to swipe.
- Chords for the band sit above the words, in the key you are actually singing in.
- Jump anywhere. Every section is on a strip down the side of the screen; one tap and you are back on the chorus.
- Smart glasses. The same words in front of your eye on Even Realities G2 glasses, so your head stays up with the congregation.
- The whole service in one setlist, songs in order, with a swipe between them.
Privacy
Sign-in happens on Planning Center's own page; no Planning Center password is ever entered into QMe. The connection asks for Services only and is read-only. You can disconnect at any time from the same screen, and the songs and setlists you already imported stay in QMe. Details are in our privacy policy.
Questions
Does it need the QMe website or the iPad?
Either. Connect once and both can import. The website is handy with a real keyboard for tidying charts; the iPad is where you perform. They sync on their own.
We use Music Stand. Is this a replacement?
QMe is a teleprompter, so the words move with you rather than sitting on a page. Many teams keep Planning Center as the plan of record and use QMe on stage. The plan only has to be built once.
What about SongSelect?
Charts you have imported from SongSelect into Planning Center's Lyrics & Chords come across with the plan. There is no direct SongSelect connection in QMe today.
